Day 4:- ColourBLOCK shoes

So this DIY was prone to a lot of trial and error. Initially I tried paint but it didn't look how i wanted it to so I looked through my stash of material and found a sexy fuchsia scraps and was like 'this will work' . So this DIY was about the length of an episode of Single Ladies excluding drying time.
So I started off with a pair of flats that just weren't cutting it. #Oldladychurchshoeswag

Day 3: Ankara Clutch - The Revamp

So this clutch is actually a travel pocketbook for your documents that my mum has had for like a billion years. It was falling apart and needed to go in the bin but my inner hoarder said NO STOP WE CAN STILL LOVE IT (seriously i need help). So I grabbed some ankara and my glue gun and gave it the loving it needed, while watching Nollywood. And it only took about 20 mins .

All you need is your cloth, an old bag an adhesive (i'm using my trusty glue gun) and a pair of scissors (and a ruler is optional)

Begin by measuring your fabric leaving a centimeter perimeter
Cut around your material

Glue around the seams that are already there and press your fabric onto the adhesive putting a book on it to mesh the two materials together.

Seeing as it was orgininally a pocketbook for documents I had to cut out the tags on the sections
 Next find your clasp
And make a small incision and push it through
Any excess material can be pushed under the clasp to neaten and secure.

And Voila a simple clutch revamp.

Day 2:- Knee High Boots To Ankle Boots

This is a really simple DIY and a perfect chance to transform some of your winter wears to spring ones.
I've had these blasted boots for ages, but being the hoarder that I am, I couldn't simple throw them away. So what to do with hideous boots, you ask......turn them in to ankle boots.

Firstly find the seam of the boot and if yours have a really low one then create one a little further up.

Then cut all along your seam.

Next try on the boot to see how the ankle fits and ifs its to large measure how much space you would need for a snug fit and make a crescent at the back of the boot then cut  along that crescent you made.

Next pull the cresent down to the point you have measured  and either glue or sew it down along with the rim of the mouth of the boot an Voila instant ankle boot.

Warning: If you are using a glue gun please be careful, I have lost skin to that bloody machine.

Anyway Til tomorrow
Peace

Idiy: Nailz did

Dope right! I found this on Miss Jia's tumblr and tried it.

1. Paint your base coat
P.s choose a light colour so the print will show clearly
2. Once your nails are dry, cut out some squares of news paper, then soak your nails in alcohol and press the news paper on them and Voila.... printed nails

Here's my version

Not the best maybe because I got a little too excited and didn't wait until my nails were fully dry. Le sigh.
Til next time kids

This Moments inspiration...

So I have decided.... for the next couple of months, I'm going to be cheap and not give in to binge shopping. Purely only to encourage and motivate myself to actually get out my sewing machine and release my inner 'Gok Wan'!
All I need now is some inspiration to get me going....
