The first week of December means one thing…
THE CLOTHES SHOW LIVE. This year I made a last minute decision to head up to
Birmingham with my fellow shopaholic!
We decided to make a weekend of it and
booked ourselves into a hotel for the night.. only £12 each! (gotta love Travelodge).
Those of you who are clothes show virgins … this
is what you have been missing out on: The Clothes Show Live is the UK’s largest
fashion and beauty event, including live dance performances, catwalk shows,
free makeovers, free pole dancing tasters, over 500 fashion outlets ranging from high street to designer
brands as well as vintage stalls. They also have guest appearances… I was
hoping to bump into The Risk from X Factor but they weren’t performing that
day. We did see Arg from The Only Way Is Essex… soooo cute but were more
interested in the male models… will give you a treat below ladies!!
I’m no fashionista but like most girls I
have a thing for clothes. I think fashion is an important part of self-expression..
in a way, we are what we wear. I was inspired by the student collections and noticed
that the recession may have slowed down our spending but it has given a
platform for creativity and resourcefulness. One of the stalls called ‘buy it,
snknitch it, work it’ was both of these things. You could take your item of
clothing you had just bought and get it customised by an expert or even do it
yourself to revamp your style! Nehoo here’s what you’ve been waiting for..
And now you have composed yourselves, here are
a few random pics from the weekend...
(Look out for what we bought in future posts!)
