Lets Talk Politics

Morning!
Nick Clegg with David Cameron
Thought I'd quickly post on politics. Never really went into the whole election scene last week, but after the Conservative won (although not winning the majority) I was not feeling very optimistic with the results.
However, when Nick Clegg (Liberal Democrats) offered to join in collision with the Conservative I was not very sure and confident with his decision in the matter and thought he was just being desperate.
Yet, after Cameron was appointed Prime Minister last night, this mornings breaking news was that Nick Clegg is the official Deputy Head Prime Minister and got 15% of the cabinet members. Sorry, that is fun-fuckin-fabulous considering they did not do too well in the results of the election. Cleggs decision in coalition has worked out for the best in the end.
Why am I happy... I'm a lib dem supporter, and after coming out at the bottom during the election last week, things weren't looking too good. Now the Liberal Democrats have their foot in the door!
Now the question is, How will they govern together in terms of their similar yet different policies????
Hope this new marriage of convenience works out?!
Off to my driving lesson and then work! Meh!

THE 20" PIZZA!!!!!

hahahah... just remembered! Sooo back to Sunday! I guess working in a huuge shopping centre has many perks but one of them was the TasteLondon card I received which entitles me to a month of discounts at lots of restaurants... I would go and eat everyday on my own but that would make me look at bit piggish so i decide to drag Tuna & Aggie with me after work. To cut a long story short: NEW YORK INSPIRED RESTAURANT... A GLASS OF WINE AND A HUGE PIZZA :D

and yes the two of us practically polished it off... apart from one little slice- which made a great breakfast! That's an extra 20mins on the treadmill for me then?! :s

Lets de-clutter :)

Today I spent the morning, tidying my wardrobe (to make room for more clothes) and de-cluttering my desk- packing up all that university junk!! In the afternoon I heard some sad news and it got me thinking if I were to disappear tomorrow how would I be remembered?? Its not really about what you've done but how you did it that determines who you are. What's that saying... 'no one wishes they spent more time in the office,' so in the evening I began to de-clutter my mind too... forget all my little worries and re-focus on my dreams and the steps I'm taking to get there. After all that I needed a break so I switched on the tv to be entertained but noooo all I got was 'breaking political news' (I wont bore you with all the details). Politics is important but not when it gets in the way of Eastenders! Lol. So i flicked through the channels for something else to make me laugh and came across Drop Dead Diva... ...took me a while to like the series but I am now a fan! Maybe I'm a bit emotional today but this episode touched my heart lol. It just summed things up.... at the end of the day - what ever it is.. work or relationships- just go for it and believe you can achieve it!

Monday Morning Delight!

Woke up in an exceptional good mood this morning, no idea why, maybe it was the idea that I was proud of the fact that me and stacey was able to devour a 20" pizza last night in Mulberry Street ''New York'' with a little help from aggie. (The waitress, told us usually two big men are able to eat all that no problem!) lol
But I'm embracing it!
Back to this morning...
Made my routine cup of green tea with some fruits on the side, and started munching away as I jot down in my agenda the days I am volunteering and assessed my career values (a little something Stacey sent me to to assess which jobs suit me in terms of what's important to me in a job and what kind of decision maker I am).
So, in the mean time... I am volunteering, and being my mums PA. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
My mission today... type up mummy's report for work than run a few errands! Looks like its gonna be a fun day, ey?!
Later,

Finding a date...

So... I realised what it is that I have been doing all this time and why it is I have been attracting all the wrong guys. I've some how always known the saying ''treat 'em mean... keep 'em keen''. But I didn't know it worked in such full force! It wasn't until I read an article in the new copy of cosmopolitan - 'What men find irresistible about you!' and analysed my past relationships/encounters that I realised why I have had the wrong dudes falling for me.
Qualities that make a man fall head over heels for you:
  1. IGNORE HIM! - all the guys that have 'fallen' for me, I didn't/hardly payed much attention to. Same with your shoes, the ones that you don't like much, you ignore and leave it at the back of your cupboard. Sorry... only thing is with men, when you ignore them, you become slightly out of reach. ''Men are biologically hardwired to be competitive. They need to feel like THEY are making the choice to be with you and the working towards winning you over''. So, really, they thought I was playing hard-to-get with them.... Sorry....
  2. BE COMFORTABLE IN YOUR OWN SKIN! - Like most people (I'd like to assume), I tend to be more comfortable and body confident around people I am less attracted to, purely because I feel I do not have to impress anyone and I am just being myself, comfortable in my own skin. Men can tell if you are not confident and comfortable with your body, which is a slight turn off. ''Men associate a woman's confidence and sensuality movements with bedroom confidence and sesuality. So, this plus point No.1 = Lust lol
  3. SHOW OFF YOUR PLAYFUL SIDE! - Anyone who knows me will know that I am not a serious person. I'm very humorous, love jokes and always sees the funny side of things. I mean, I would choose a funny man over a gorgeous serious man anyday! ''A playful attitude shows you have a sense of humor and, men assume that any woman who laughs easily are easier to handle.'' I am very carefree and humorous with people that I am comfortable with. People I am attracted to, I tend to be too self aware and sometimes freeze! Oooooops!

So........ in conclusion... if I go by what Cosmopolitan says, I am attracting the wrong guys! because if I want to get 'that' guy... I have to play by the rules and follow steps 1-3, which would not really be me, as I would be self analysing myself constantly as I wouldn't be ignoring the guy that I really like, or be constantly oozing with confidence (because I would constantly be checking myself for any faults), and even being banterful (is that even a word?!) because, I'd be afraid if he wanted a more mature woman, or he might not find my jokes funny, or I might just be too damn nervous around him..... or not....??? I don't know.

I just need to be able to find a decent guy that I would be able to bring as my date for a scheduled rooftop dinner party. Someone I can feel comfortable around and talk to (vice versa), as well as talk to my friends and the others there..... hmmmmmm I have 5 weeks...

Where to look??? where do I even start?!??!

I found my wedges!!!

With more free time I have started to let myself into shops again... just window shopping for now- *sensible shopping is a must! and I needed some hott wedges in my life that are wearable day to day. If I make good tips this weekend at the restaurant - they are all mine!!! Well just the grey ones for now..
*DEFINITION OF SENSIBLE SHOPPING ask yourself these 3 questions...
1. DO I NEED IT?
2. DO I LOVE IT?
3. CAN I AFFORD IT?
If you have answered yes to all three then you can make that sensible purchase without feeling guilty afterwards.

Well I guess Uni is over>?!

£28413.15 of debt arrived on my door step this morning!!!
Yes you guessed right.... my annual student loan statement... aka: the bill for 3 years of higher education! Its times like these you think why the hell did I bother going?!
University opens a lot of doors for your future but when another billion people have the same doors open for them too it doesn't make life that much easier. However I'm proud I've got through it and plan to make the most of it.. probably in a similar way to how an erotic dancer makes the most out of her talent. Standing out is key.. for me further training and some worldwide travel for that unique experience.
Soooooooo the job hunt is on, I figured its quite easy to get an interview - just show off, milk your skills like the cow is obese and on the interview ooze confidence whether its fake or not!
And if all else fails ... migrate to Mexico where the student loan people will never find you ;-)
on a happier note.... I just this second got a phone call .. I have an interview next week! woooo- time to celebrate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

It's Finally Over!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! It's been 2 days now since I have not picked up a book, read, typed, analysed, concluded, calculated, researched anything! And it feels damn good. Though reality has just hit that this is it.... no more being a student, and playing the student card, student discounts, etc; time to go out and get that job and live that life you've worked so hard to get. hmmmmmmm.... So...Whats next?! After 2 days of catching up with my sleep, drinking with the girls, hitting the movies and spending quality time with the familia, I have concluded that my Masters will just have to wait. I'm really in no rush to get it done now. Summer, will be time for me to holiday and enjoy my freedom (Portugal and Angola here I come!!!) + explore my options, and when I return, I will have my job waiting for me. ;) So far, I almost have the next 4 months sorted out, (holidays, experience/work, partying, finally do and pass my driving exam etc) I even managed to bag myself a date for next week. lmao.... :s
Graduate life is looking good so far! :D Anyways, I'm tired again, so next time ladies!
