Au naturel....

We black woman have it so hard when it comes to hair! The white man has told us that straight hair is beautiful! More like hair straight out of the packet, that's what us black women have fallen viticim to! Now I'm not going to act like I don't "enhance" my hair once in a while lol. But it's when I revert back to my natural self that's when I realise I LOVE MY AFRO! And I'm proud! So the next month or so I'm going to be a true Leo with my mane free =D

I'm a summer baby so I require a certain amount of sunlight per day just to survive. But when outside looks like this

So I think to combat any bouts of S.A.D i should get me some of this.......

 (obviously my face will be where Nicki's is) Is he not the sexiest piece of ass you've seen in a while but if i can't have him for my winter boo I think  either of these will do

Seriously Morphthing is evil.... You could waste your life trying to find out how your children will look with your famous (and not so famous *cough*) Babydaddies.

The sucky weather has however sparked a flame in my quest to live as minimalistic as possible. I'm a hoarder .....like really bad so i decided to get rid of some of my magazines.

I threw away at least 50 magazines and this is all that remains

After a little calculation I found that this lot was worth over £150!!!!!!!!!!! Like seriously.....

and this is not even counting the ones I've thrown away/ borrowed out/ lost and destroyed. If i stopped buying magazines i could have one foot of a pair of Loubos....

NO MORE MAGAZINES FOR ME (apart from essences and nylon or any mag that has my husbands on the cover) 

 Oh and if they ever start publishing Vibe Vixen again I'm getting it.

3rd September

I've been back not even a week and people already want to complicate my life including my Bank! Arrgggghhhh!

Oh well, I don't have to think about all that ish today as its D's Birthday 'after' party.

Only problem is, I don't know what to wear, and I promised her I'd be ready by the time she come and picks me up at 6:40pm (FYI... I run on severe Angolan time - so this maybe a problem).

Hmmmm.... should I dress up? should I shorts up? should I playsuit it up?! Living out of my suitcase isn't helping the situation any better.

Ohhhh I don' t know.... let's not even get started with my hair! Oh my!

All I know is that...

Mirror rorriM on the wall

Why do we only see ourselves when we look in the mirror?

I asked myself this question the other day when I was sat in front of my mirror thinking did no one notice how terrible my face and hair was today! and yes i was also thinking I need to put the mirror on the wall! Nehoo the answer I came up with is that it is easy to see and criticise what’s right in front of us. Look and that 'tina the talking' tummy, those friends on my face aka spots, that bump in my nose... whatever it is just distracts us from our true reflection, how the world sees us.

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I say that beauty is an illusion, where the beholder can only see the reflection we create. The next time you go to work, hold a door open for somebody, help a friend, get complimented on your outfit.. take the time to really look at yourself. Listen to the thank you, ask for feedback, and acknowledge that someone has acknowledged you. Know your worth and see that reflection!

Trendy Toddler!

So its Monday.. Time to swap my leather jacket for my blazer..

I had a great day yesterday. Went to visit some family in oxford, in particular my gorgeous god daughter! It had been too long and we had so much to catch up on ... Her new puppy, her birthday plans and fashion of course! O and she's 2yrs going on 33, I mean 3 yrs old by the way. As I painted her nails with her choice of Rimmels 'green with envy' to match her dress (her words not mine) it got me thinking fashion victims are getting younger and younger! I remember the days I would be happy skipping about in an aunties hand made dress with a matching cardigan. These days babies are rocking skinny jeans!!

Maybe I'm just hating on trendy toddlers but is it time we thought about how are obsessions impact kids and go back to basics ? Or is it best kids are introduced to the fashion world sooner rather than later?

Life is Great... laladiladilala

Ok! So it has been some time since I have posted on here but it wasn't my fault! Stupid exams took over my life! But last week I got my results and I PASSED! Actually I smacked them but I don't want to blow my own horn lol. Now I'm officially free! The last free weeks have been amazing! First, Portugual, then Wireless! Which has actually made my year! I'm in love with J. Cole, don't mind Xuna he's mine! lol. And since then I literally wake up everyday and something just turns up like tickets to the theatre... so Life is Great! xxx

Monday Morning Delight!

Woke up in an exceptional good mood this morning, no idea why, maybe it was the idea that I was proud of the fact that me and stacey was able to devour a 20" pizza last night in Mulberry Street ''New York'' with a little help from aggie. (The waitress, told us usually two big men are able to eat all that no problem!) lol

But I'm embracing it!

Back to this morning...

Made my routine cup of green tea with some fruits on the side, and started munching away as I jot down in my agenda the days I am volunteering and assessed my career values (a little something Stacey sent me to to assess which jobs suit me in terms of what's important to me in a job and what kind of decision maker I am).

I find it quite weird that I am no longer a student any more... What do I say now? I am graduate in limbo who is currently unemployed?! Non merci! lol

So, in the mean time... I am volunteering, and being my mums PA. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

My mission today... type up mummy's report for work than run a few errands! Looks like its gonna be a fun day, ey?!
