Yay! It's London Fashion Week!

Yay! London fashion week starts today to show us what we'll be rocking come this spring/summer! I love fashion week but the best has to be the spring/summer one cos that's when you know summer is near! Yay again! This fashion week, tonight the girls and I are going to an opening party sponsored by Custo Barcelona and Evogue. Custo Barcelona apparently are renowned for their parties and make fabulous bags! I'm soo excited! And then on Saturday, we are going to an exclusive Swarovski Runway Rocks exhibition! Can't wait for that too! It's going to be a good weekend! =D Diva xoxo

Before the latest issue of company magazine, I had vaguely heard of Marina and the diamonds. But after reading an interview, I found that Marina is a girl after my own heart! This is because she is a young, strong woman and she's not sorry about! Just like me! Before reading her interview I never would have considered myself a feminist but now when I think about it guess I am! I hate how certain rules and roles are imposed on us because we are women, such as looking after the house, children and husband! I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with this but it is always made out that it is OUR duty! Lord knows, how many times I have gone mad, when my mum and nan ask me to do something around the house like washing the plates or hoverring the house and when I ask them why can't my brothers do it, they are like "It's because you're a woman!" Arggghhhh! And we still have a long way to go in terms of equality in the workplace between men and women. There's so many things that niggle me but I can go on forever... I'm just hoping in the future hopefully these stereotypes will change! I like this song too. The lyrics are great and she has great fashion sense! Definitely a girl after my heart! <3 Diva xoxo

I'm lovin' right now... Jerry Lavigne Jr!

Thanks to Boo!Coco I have been introduced to the HILARIOUS comedian, Jerry Lavigne Jr. I have spent time that I should have been doing work watching his videos cos they are just so good... so check him out! I don't know how to exactly to describe his videos but they are mostly about relationships between women and men. I love so many of his videos: "I love questions", "Why she said no", "Why did she slap me?" too many to mention but my favourite video is "Pussy Payments". I bet you are thinking "But really Diva?!" but hear me out! I think what he is saying is true cos at the end of the day sex does motivate guys to do things for us and so we as woman should be aware of this. I'm now soo aware after watching the video, I like to call it "Pussy Transactions" lol. Also what Jerry says about "Pussy being priceless and dick being worthless" is hilarious and I think that's true too lol. Recently I went to a Valentine's day "slave" auction, where you could buy a date and the most a girl went for was £135 whereas for a guy it was £85, and trust me it was a struggle to even get that for him lol. Thus this shows what he is saying is true cos literally the guys where falling over themselves trying to outbid each other while us girls were chilling, looking cute as we are supposed to cos "dick is worthless" lol. I know some people are offended by his videos but really it's just comedy! You need to have a good laugh once in a while and not take things so seriously! Lots of love, Diva xoxo

Does playing hard to get really work?

We have all done it at least once, playing hard to get thinking that it will get us the guy we want but really does it work? In this age of "Sex and the city" (Bible no. 1) and "Art of Seduction" (a bible just not sure what number yet lol) we all know "The Rules"- don't call straight after a date, I think they say leave 3 days or something like that lol, don't reply back to his texts straightaway.... basically don't be too available! But yesterday with it being Valentine's day, my beliefs were shaken to the core by a story where a girl who always available to a guy, told him STRAIGHT UP she liked him and guess what... it worked?! Now I just don't know what to believe lol. Maybe being direct is the way forward, after all guys aren't not mind readers lol. Diva xoxo P.s. Yesterday I was annoyed because a bbm message between a guy and girl was being circulated around the internet, where the girl asked the guy to be her valentine and he replied he was busy when initially he said he wasn't. It annoys me because guys always complain "Why is it up to them to make the first move" and then when a girl finally does you act like a PUNK! THAT'S WHY WE DON'T! Also it's not cool circulating stuff like that!

Today Rihanna released her long awaited music video for her racy song "S&M". Apparently the video has been banned in 10 countries cos it is too "sexually explicit" and its viewing is being restricted! Of course this meant I had to hunt it down and see for myself what all the fuss is about lol. I watched the video and personally I don't see what's so wrong with it! It no worse than some hip hop videos and they are pratically PORN! As I said before access to the video is being so restricted, but lucky for you guys I've got it here for you:

INSPIRATION #1 Olivia Palermo

I've always loved Olivia Palermo's style, but have always found her style a bit too clean cut for me personally. I'm usually a "good from far, but far from good type of girl".

However, recently I had to polish up my look due to my job, and have been overly inspired by Miss Palermo.

(I still maintain my "good from far, but far from good" habits after work by throwing on my comfy flat scruffy boots to walk home in)

COLE WORD, NO BLANKET!!!!

I don't know if you guys remember, but a while back I was upset because I found out that Drake was going to be in concert in London in January and J.Cole was supporting him! Now I hope you also remember me sayin that "Where's there is a will, there's a way and I will find a way to see him..." Well GUESS WHAT?! I SAW HIM!!! Arghhhh I even touched his hand *faints* I am a true stan! And on Sunday 9th January 2011, Xuna and I went to see him in concert at Koko, Camden in London. This was his very first solo show in London and we were veryyyyyy excited as you can see lol. We made t-shirts, thanks to BooCoco! She's an evil genius lol. xD The concert was great! Definitely an experience to remember!

And we stalked him afterwards.... What a great day! I'm officially in love! Diva xoxo

I Know It's Late, But....

I know its 2 weeks late. Haven't really had the chance to blog, with work deadlines, Baby showers, Engagement parties and J Cole gigs to attend. But I am here now.

Pretty excited about what 2011 has to offer.

Like Boo said, resolutions are soooo over.

This Year for me.... my motto is "Just Do it" - Nike said it best.

I have a lot of things that I'd love to do or want to change... But I just say.

Now is the time for me to do it all.

Resolutions are soooooo 00's



Hey Kids. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas/ Happy Hanukkah/ Blessed Kwanza or just a good week in general.

As 2011 quickly approaches everyone is making new years resolutions but this year I've decided that they suck. So scraping resolutions I'm going to have a Gameplans.

I bet your asking Game plan/new years resolution are practically the same thing but alas they're not.

I saw this quote recently

 And this is the reason why so many of us have memberships to gyms yet never use them thus Gyms make millions off of our shame, we end up broke and we remain 'fatties' 

Resolutions are just intentions Gameplans are the paths we take to win.

Resolution: I'm going to go from Precious circa 2009 to Kim Kardashian Circa Summer 2010 (her booty injections were popping then)

Reality: you think 'hmmm lets go to the gym for a little while and hope the rest works its self out.' Two months later your still look like Precious=FAIL

With our Gameplans,

1. Set yourself a goal and a target date.

2. Research and figure out the practical steps you need to do to accomplish your goal

3. While on your way there take timeout to evaluate your progress

4. BE HONEST! If you are not quite where you planned to be or your goal deadline is a little stringent then be honest with yourself.

5. Finally Reflect, What went wrong? What went right? What did you learn? What could you do better? 

For instance : I need to get my body and health right, my aim is to go from Precious to Kim by Valentines day

First quarter: Gym and diet

Second quarter: Back to the Gym and diet. Get some Virgin Indian Remy

Third quarter: Maintain weight loss, get boobie and booty implants

Forth quarter: A lil Botox, keep maintaining and throw on a Bikini

Over time: find a NFL player to test your body out and your booty looking a lil flats so get to squating and a refill on your injections  

Obviously this is a asinine example but i hope you catch my drift. Anyway thats my method for a successful 2011 I'll keep you updated on the booty implants.

Anyway aside from lipsyncing to 'Why'd you leave me' i've been a busy girl. After Detoxing my room I found a few old plain jumpers and decided on a little DIY project

 This had been one of my slogans for a while... so why not tell the world

1. You'll need paper (doesn't have to be lined as long as its thin enough to be see through), fabric paint , a pencil, paintbrush, tape (or a gluestick), a jumper and scissors

2. Outline your letters

3. Cut them bad boys out

4. Position your letters and secure it with tape or the gluestick

5. Paint around your letters or outline them if you want them bold and filled in

6. Remove your letters and add the lower case writing using your pencil dipped in the paint

7. Let it dry and rock that bad boy like you don't give a F**K
